I agree 500 sq ft is nothing. I kept my 600 sq ft apartment clean with minimal effort. It doesn't take hours to clean a bathroom. Perhaps OP has too much stuff or is super OCD about being clean.

2 hrs for 500 square feet ? We have about 5k square feet and 2 ladies come every other week and clean for 3 hours a 6 bedroom 6 bathroom home. Ive never had to clean up extra after they leave once. They never run out of time. How much are you paying ?

My 2 ladies rock and clean my 4600 sf house in 2 hours. Other than wipe counters/vacuum high traffic areas I do nothin in between their visits.

Find a new cleaner and be prepared to pay a little more.

That is insane.

We have a service (small business, same team including the owner every time) with 4 women. Our house has 4 bdrms, 3.5 baths and is 3600 sq ft. They are in and out in 1.5 hours. It's sparkling. The only things I do between their every other week visits are scrub the toilets on the off weeks and wipe down the kitchen as it gets dirty.

Either your standards are too high or your person sucks. In 2 hours I could have my 1000 sq ft apartment (our previous residence) shining on my own without any help.
