We have accepted at another school that and if all goes well will remain there and apply out for middle or high school. Wondering if there is any chance DS would be admitted since they gave us a flat out rejection this time around.

There is no reason not to apply again in the future if you think it would be the right fit and your child is interested at that future time.

When a kid applies for preK, the school doesn't have much to go on (does Johnny play nicely with the other kids?) By the time they get to high school, or even middle school, there is more information including grades, standardized test scores, involvement in extracurriculars, teacher recommendations, essays, personal interview, etc. It is a very different process, so if it seems like a good fit for your student, they will certainly have a shot at it.
