| I wish I could wear Converse! I have some and even just wearing them for a day of puttering around the house leaves my feet in pain. Bummer. |
| You are never too old to wear what makes you feel comfortable. |

We are Gen X. Those are the shoes of our generation.
Unfortunately, like PP, these shoes hurt my feet. That's not an age thing; even in my teens I found them cool but uncomfortable. |
+1 I love my Vans. I bought a pair last summer that have "sunflowers" on them...so cute with (sporty) summer skirts. I typically wear sandals in the summer but thought Vans would be cute for when you need something else. |
| I am 44 and wear both all the time. |
| I'm 42 and got so many compliments on the gold vans I bought a couple of years ago. I put Super Feet insoles in them and I can wear them all day long. |
I am not too old at 40, but my feet are.
|
| No- you are totally not too old. |
|
They are even making them (comfortable) for us olds now, so you are fine!

I'm 41 and these (tan Converse) are my every day errand shoe and have been for years. I get compliments on them from time to time, frequently from random men (I'm female).

You guys got me interested in Vans, I need to try them on before I buy, what stores carry them?
We are supposed to wear socks with them, right? |
| Never too old! |
Most stores carry them. They also have their own stores in many malls. |
| You will ruin your feet. |
| I put inserts in my converse sneakers, then they are fine |
