Have you watched Oblivion with Tom Cruise?

For some reason I don't think I heard of it until I caught some of it on TV recently. It was kind of interesting.

Another one that I don't think I heard of before until watching on TV is Now You See Me. But I think that movie must have been popular since they're doing a sequel for it. Maybe I'm just not keeping up to date on what movies are out there now. I'm also finding that I like movies that Mark Ruffalo is in.

Georgia Rules.

Lindsey Lohan was having her personal problems during the making of this film, so I think it received bad publicity, but I thought it was one of her best (as a young adult).

What? The advocate was an art house film. Hardly anyone saw it. Or is it that you didn't like it?
True Romance had an all-star cast and still grossed less than it's $13 million budget domestically.

What's the objection?

Lots of good movies listed thus far but many are not particularly obscure.

I really liked Buffalo Soldiers which is about a con artist/smuggler played by Joaquin Phoenix in the US Military in West Germany in the late 80's. But the movie came out the Friday after 9/11 and it took a pretty cynical look at the US Military so it lasted a week.

IIRC Donnie Darko came out the same day and also did poorly though I never got the fascination some folks have with that flick.

I watch it just for Timothy olyphant!

I watched Catch and Release just for Timothy Olyphant and wasn't disappointed. It's been on Showtime recently. Cute and light.

Oddly, I haven't seen that one yet, even though I love him AND Jennifer Garner.

The Yards - had an all star cast and was well reviewed but just didn't catch on.
