Based on this thread, I just watched Beyond the Lights. So fabulous. I can't believe this wasn't a hit.

I love good film. I have quickly read through all the posts in this thread and have to say I've seen almost all these movies. I always wonder why more people don't enjoy and appreciate good independent films like these. Americans stick to the dumb blockbusters. So much talent and art out there not appreciated by the masses.

I totally agree with this - I saw and really enjoyed this movie. Love her rendition of Blackbird.
