While honey is 80% sugar, it does taste different and is typically used in different applications. Wouldn't add it to your coffee, huh? So yeah, it's not "real" sugar either.

It's a natural sweetener and a sugar substitute. If you had said it was a fake sugar, no one would have corrected you.
