Why don’t you invite her over to YOUR house for dinner. Tell her you would like her to critique the meal you prepare.

Don't beat around the bush. Just tell her that you don't want to do the whole dining experience thing every time you eat out and offer up some suggestions for other fun things you can do together. If she's a good friend and you guys communicate well, she should understand and respect that. At the same time, you have to respect her hobby (food) and understand that she finds enjoyment and excitement from it...without all the snarky, reverse condescension. There are far worse hobbies to have. |
