You get fat

Not if you are breastfeeding.

When I was breast feeding I ate constantly, basically all cheese and ice cream, and lost all the baby weight plus another 20 pounds. Once I stopped, I started eating "right" again and gained 20 pounds. Sigh.

Step down fearmongers, you're fine! I regularly ate this type of crap when breastfeeding and I was back to my pre-preg weight in a couple months. Just don't eat cookie dough (or its equivalents) all the time - which I'm sure you're not doing - and it's no problem.

Omg, all the over reacting

Once? You feel sick for a few days. Maybe cut back on what you eat for a few meals. Then you will be fine.

My DS tells me "don't eat something that will make you feel good for 5 minutes and then bad and regretful the rest of the day. Eat something healthy and then feel good all f the time."

This is a different WTF than OP's post engenders but still, wtf?

i bought them because I thought they'd be fun to make with my 2 year old daughter! then i started eating and couldn't stop. if it helps, I ate them slowly over the course of the day.

should i make myself throw up? i shouldn't get salmonella, right? i mean, the stuff is pasteurized...

This was about 2000 calories. A pound is about 3600 calories. How much you are burning is hard to say given the breastfeeding but math says one binge will not yield 50lbs of weight gain. However, I did GAIN while breast feeding/pumping due to stress (NICU babies), tiredness, and hunger. It was a total PITA since right after birth I was close to pre-preg. weight. So, nip it in the bud if you can.

Harris teeter carries that.

OP here. So, I go back to work from maternity leave today, and all my holiday gifts are sitting on my desk, including a big tin of chocolate almonds. i just ate like 15. STOP ME SOMEBODY!

OP, you sound like a good candidate for the Whole30. It will get your cravings under control and clean up your eating. It's like hitting the reset button.

I get one bite OP. But the whole thing? It only takes 11 or 12 minutes to bake those dough cookies. Couldn't you have waited?

You obviously know it is not good for you to eat raw dough. Have you had any eating disorders in your past? Your suggestion to throw up caused me to wonder.

Cookie dough tastes much better than baked cookies.

OP - just don't do it again. It sounds like you are craving sweets. Have you ever been to Chocolate Covered Katie's website? Go there and look up some of her recipes. She makes healthy snacks. She has a recipe for chick pea cookie dough. There is also a brownie recipe used by making black beans.

Slender Seven is also similar - healthy types of snacks.

Try making those and see if they can be a substitute when you feel the urge to snack.

Drink water, you'll be fine. When I was breastfeeding I once at an entire chocolate cake over the course of like 3 days. I pretended my DH had eaten a lot of it too, but really he had like one slice. I could have eaten a HOUSE. I was SO HUNGRY and my sugar cravings were off the charts. I never had a big sweet tooth before, but once that milk was flowing, holy crap.

And unlike the snotty PPs, I LOST WEIGHT while eating like a sumo wrestler.

That is, of course, until I weaned and I had to cut my sugar addiction and then I gained a few lbs. So yeah, stop eating like that before you wean and you'll be good.

Why are you eating so much shit when breastfeeding? I hope your poor kid doesn't adopt your eating habits... otherwise you'd have to parade them around on a Maury fat babies episode, LOL!

Are you eating enough? It doesn't sound like it.
