| You can get a lot of the candies, digestives, etc. at World Market or Rodman's. Even Giant carries Aero. |

Amelia Rope chocolate, they sell it in Liberty. The dark chocolate with honeycomb and sea salt is my favourite.
Not British but in London - Pierre Herme macarons. The best! |
| A tin (make it two!) of Quality Street candy. yumm! |

Mint Aero Bar
Violet Crumble/Crunchie Luxury flakes Irn Bru (Scottish drink - like Fanta but stronger) |
second the flakes! I loved that stuff. Also in yogurt form: http://www.britishcornershop.co.uk/cadbury-flake-twinpot Other treats. Go to a fancy hotel and have afternoon tea. I love me a good scone.. |
These are manufactured for sale in the US. Not the same ingredients. More preservatives and artificial flavors here (because it sells better) Hmmmmpppfffhhh
|
| Make sure to get a 99p from an ice cream truck. Vanilla ice cream cone with a flake stuck in it. It's just fun. |
| Treacle |
| Did anyone mention bakewell tarts yet? Amazing inventions. Have ten. |
Thank you everyone for all your suggestions. I have a long list now! I better up my exercise before the trip
My favorite places for treats have been Germany and Czech Republic so I can't wait to see how England matches up. |

Blackcurrent Ribena
Dolly candy Scones and clotted cream Magnum Ice Cream bars (yes, we have them here now but they don't taste the same as they do in the UK) Whips |

Another vote for chocolate covered digestives. Even plan digestives are great. I also like millionaire bars, but I can make those myself. I love apple turnovers.
The grocery store chocolate in England is different than in the US. Cadbury mini eggs taste completely different - much better in the UK. Try a Crunchie. |
Yes, this! Not exactly season, but one of my favorite treats from childhood. And definitely a cream tea at a good place. Mmmm... |

Gooseberry fool.
I love this story from the actor who played Mr. Bennet for A&E's Pride & Prejudice: https://www.janeausten.co.uk/fancys-fools/ |
