Son flushed toy down toilet - seems ok but should I call plumber?

I love a 9 year update from the OP 😂

As if. "Flushable" wipes and hair routinely snag on things and slow flow, which collects more stuff later.

Are you the tree root poster? Regular sewer systems do not have anything that can snag debris. That's your problem, not OP's.

Those wipes are a plumber's friend.

I'm the tree root poster but not the flushable wipes poster. Agree, regular sewer systems are not a problem, but many of us live in older homes, in neighborhoods with lots of mature trees. If I had money to burn right now, I'd hire a plumber with a camera to scope my line and recommend next steps. I can't afford an expensive sewer line repair, so we are just careful. We buy thin toilet paper as our plumber recommends, don't flush anything else like Kleenex or wipes, and we pour root killer down the pipes once a month.
