How could my child's iq have gone down?

Also,
1. Time of day she took the test.
2. Her motivation on the test.
3. Distractors: illness; desire to be somewhere else; stress; etc.
4. Test giver. While the directions are specific and strict, everyone gives tests differently.

First IQ testing is not considered fully accurate until the age of 18. Before then it simply gives a ballpark and provides some data to determine if a child may have an intellectual disability.

Second, the two tests are entirely different and may have different influences for scores. Including language and literacy development between those ages, or side effects from medications causing a lower processing speed.
