I think my goldfish may be depressed.

I hated my nursing bras too.

OP again -- my goldfish, who is very much a she, is doing better today through no effort on my part. I like the frozen pea idea, I'm going to try that sometime. Also I want to try mixing some white wine into her water when she has a difficult day

Anyway, Elmer was always swimming around in his 3 by 5 bowl, happy as ever, kicking around the gravel and generally not complaining. One day, however, Elmer just sat still and wouldn't do anything. I put some food flakes in the bowl and he just sat there, not even leaping to the surface. I tried repainting the walls in my living room bright green-nothing. Then, one day, I realized his bowl faced my wide screen TV where for the last several weeks I had been watching a lot of Sopranos repeats. I quickly DVR'd Finding Nemo and Mr. Limpett and wouldn't you know it, Elmer perked right up and started swimming around the bowl like it was the Beijing Olympics. A few vitamin C pellets in the water didn't hurt either. I'll tell ya, it's all about attitude. PS-I also stopped steaming shrimp right in front of him-that seemed to help as well.

This is too cute - can you come over to tell my kids some fun stories????
I'd love too-I'm actually a nanny; my kids tell me I'm funny but when it comes to discipline, I'm a total failure.

Ask your goldfish if she has checked her portfolio recently-that would explain everything.

This is not funny. Some of us have lost goldfish to swim bladder disease.

My deepest condolences to you and your family for your loss.

Just curious and no jabs here-when was the last time you left the house?

I try to avoid contact with other people. Some ignorant, mean spirited stranger invariably asks me how I am, which makes me think of my goldfish. People can be so insensitive and stupid.

HA! It's ok - I can spell and discipline but don't have the creativity to tell such cute stories. What an imagination.....lucky kids.

I kind of know what you mean; when people see me with my goldfish sometimes they ask when I plan on getting a 2nd goldfish. They have no idea the difficulties I've gone through, and frankly, it's none of their business how many goldfish we're planning on having.

So true. How can anyone laugh at a lighthearted joke when someone somewhere is experiencing pain??? Only trolls could tolerate such a brutish world.
