How many is too many for a sleepover birthday party?

My daughter had 8 friends plus her for her 8th bday so a total of 9. That was a lot. But for various reasons - everyone we invited was able to attend - and I felt we couldn't leave certain people out so that was the number we settled on.

8 kids sleeping over is a regular Friday night at my house.

Pretty much the same for us. Our kids love a sleepover. Out of four kids, they've collectively only had one friend who wasn't allowed to do sleepovers because she sleepwalked and her parents didn't feel it was safe.

8 kids fir 8th birthday. Sounds perfect and they'll have a blast together. Go for it.

Me again. And good for your DD not wanting to leave anyone out.

When I was a kid I had about 10 girls. I only allow my kids to have no more than 2. I don't want the chaos and I like my sleep. I won't sleep if they're still awake.

I have a 10 year old and normally invite around 2 people but for her birthday, I invite like 9 or 10

Kids might not be comfortable either. My kids loves the idea of a sleep over until it’s midnight and he can’t fall asleep.

Have all but do a sleep under and don’t have them stay overnight

If she said there are 8 of them then invite all 8. It’s not a big deal.

8 kids is totally manageable. No, they won't sleep. That's just how it is.

Why’d they stop in 6th grade? Middle school was I had the best when it came to sleepovers. We had more in high school.
