...yet nother hazard comes from animals that might spend a little time in the sandbox and spread E. coli a hazard to those with open wounds or those who like to eat sand. Some days I yearn for the innocence of my 70s childhood when we could play in all of these toxins with abandon.
I've chosen to tune out anything negative about sand and sandboxes. It's the only way I can survive without going crazy. There are warnings for everything. |
| We have gotten sand at American Plant food that is natural white sand--nothing added. Can't recall the brand, but I remember researching this issue several years ago and learned that the white sand was the safest. |
