Feedback about Duke Ellington?

What do students typically do after Ellington? Do they go to university, or do they go to some sort of conservatory or other bfa program?

Very high post grad acceptance so they all go somewhere. Probably half continue in the arts and half do other things. Or a combination. Kids take regular academic classes (AP, honors, etc) so they aren't locked into their art. My DD probably is going to major in something not related to her art--probably history.

The answer depends on the student. I know of several kids who have gone onto universities like Fordham, Temple, Univ of Arizona, Oberlin, etc. Other kids have gone to conservatories like Peabody, Boston, AMDA, Julliard. For most, it depends on what their aspirations are, and what school offers the best program they're interested in. I'm sure that there are a number of students who forgo post-secondary studies. No matter what the student decides, they are well prepared academically and artistically for the rigors of college.
