Please report if this recurs. Things in which I am interested are:

1) device type: i.e., iPhone, iPad, Samsung, etc.
2) connection type: cellular data network, wi-fi, etc.

My suspicion is that this only affects iPhones using cellular networks.

It hasn't happened for me today, but I'm almost always iPhone (5S running old OS - 7 something) on A&T cellular network. My block cookies setting had different options - currently set to block from third parties and advertisers.

It's usually some candy game.

I'm OP. It hasn't happened since I got home and onto the wifi. I suppose if nothing else this will stop me from surfing DCUM at work all day, since I have to use the ATT network there.

Set up a VPN connection to your home network. Then, when you connect to DCUM it will use your home IP address and you won't get the pop-up.

I implemented a very small change that might reduce or prevent the problem. After doing that, I didn't get the ad on my phone. So that's why I asked for reports.

Thanks Jeff - turning in wifi seems an easy fix.

It happened to me a couple of weeks ago; I use wi-fi on my iPad. I ended up installing an ad blocker.
