Not really. The apartments on upper Conn are full of lower income older residents compared to newer apartments in Bethesda/Arlington

To pp who said eating at Bread and Chocolate means you have a good palate really need to rethink their statement and get out in the world. I would not associate a good palate with Bread and Chocolate. You clearly need to stop staring at DCUM and get out more.

Maybe the Whole Foods will move out of its Tenley location to CCDC?

That's pretty unlikely. It does quite well where it is.

I'm surprised anyone eats at Pumpernickle's anymore. That place is disgusting and the service is rude.

And their bagels aren't really that good. Now a good addition to that stretch would be

They are for sale at Broad Branch Market and Little Red Fox.

It looks like Child's Play is working on the facade today. I noticed a beautiful Art Deco facade underneath that ugly blue box. Maybe they are taking the 80's addition off and restoring what was there.

Hallelujah!!! As pps noted, Child's Play is working on the front of their store!!! When I drove past this AM, I nearly stopped dead in my tracks. Let's all hope they do a nice job and make it look fabulous! We can only hope it will spur others to do the same - one down many more to go!

I am sure they have long been aware that the sign looked terrible and had plans to update it before this thread started 3 days ago.

18:09 I agree Bullfrog Bagels would be a great addition!

Cool, hip, and tasty! Having the store on Connecticut, would be far better than cold bagels delivered to Broad Branch Market. When you have the store you get fresh bagels and great bagel sandwiches any time of day.

Tian Tian Fang (dilapidated Chinese restaurant on Conn. Ave next to Child's Play) has closed! Looks like another dead-beat restaurant has bit the dust. Hopefully something fabulous moves in. Has anyone heard anything? One can only hope "The Avenue" is on the upswing in Chevy Chase!
