Did your teen son travel south on Wisconsin Ave in front of best buy today by bus around 6pm?

Perps? FFS, OP didn't claim that any damage was actually caused by the incident.

Sorry, committing an illegal act with the intention, or at least reckless disregard, of causing harm, makes one a perp. (In some cases, Trump might say, one can be both a perp and a perv, but I digress.) If someone were firing a gun into the air outside the Best Buy in Tenleytown and luckily no one is hit by bullets, would that person not be a perp?

Oh, the drama.

A 12 year old with a rock can kill someone. That's part of what makes the Israeli/Palestinian conflict so sad. You hate to see military or police dealing with a 12-year-old, but they can kill people with a good throw. David and Goliath probably has some truth to it.

When they maliciously destroy something on your property and run away.."sweetie"??? You are kidding, right?

5:15pm Wednesday evening there were 5 or 6 METRO cops all business in the tunnel under Wisconsin Ave. Never felt safer on the way above ground. No rock throwing tonight.

Good. I am not sure what is w the anti police attitude. Their presence dampens mayhem, their judicious intervention may get a kid back on track. When jn doubt, summon them. And the schools/parents need to get the message that the kids need to behave as they exit campus or police will respond

I feel really bad for the metro bus routes constantly under attack by rock throwers. They need to nip that, asap. That is hell for the drivers and passengers.

Not sure why some of you think rock throwing isn't a big deal...

Maybe they are the parents of the kids who throw rocks. This type of attitude and disrespect for others usually starts at home.

Did you say something? I yell at kids all the time. They know better.

I wonder what reaction you'd get. Several months ago while waiting for the crossing light to change, I stood next to a girl of high school at the corner of Wisc and Albemarle and she was loudly speaking incredible filth to someone next to her. I gently reminded her that kids (my child and some others) were also standing there, and then she really launched into obscene invective spiced with some racial references as well.

I've gotten cussed out before. I've also had kids apologize. I give it right back to them.
