Men on AM talking to fake women and other men?

Anonymous
People love to cling to their illusions. Its sad so many people wrecked their lives for a 0.00001 percent change of even talking to a woman online.

There are some women, and a lot of fake women.

Oh honey.

Two examples does not make up for the fact that there were hardly any women on AM.

No one is saying there were NO WOMEN EVER on AM. Just that they made up about .5% of the demographics.

The rest were men.

I know you are upset that you were having sexy chat with a dude, but just accept reason, man!

lol as I have stated in other posts, I was a member, paying member of Ashley Madison for about a month a few years ago..I WAS single, not in a relationship, was not looking to hook up with a married woman. Even though the site advertises primarily as a place for married people to have affairs, you do not have to be married, and as I assumed would be the case there were plenty of single women on the site. To me no different than any other dating or hook up site. But with Ashley madison it was apparant to me within a day that there were more fake profiles than real. Only a fool would sustain a membership after discovering this unless money is not an object for you. Ashley Madison, unlike many online dating sites in which a flat monthly fee covers all messaging, at AM you bought credits. And you burned credits every time you sent a message as well as every time you opened and read an incoming message. the joke was that once you created an account you would be deluged with incoming messages from "real" women. Sometimes you could tell they were fake without opening if you knew what to look for and were realistic, other times you wouldnt truly know until you actually opened and read and of course that meant burning credits up. Like I said, I bored very quickly with this site and left very quickly I was not impressed, I guarantee that there were and are only a fraction of actual meeting between real members than what they claim. Fake profiles exist on all of the sites but more here than most.

It seems even among other users you are alone in your level of delusion.

Isn't the hacked database just composed of people who made payments using a credit card? If so, of course it's only 5% female. Women don't have to pay to use AM. The only reason a woman's cc would be on file is if she paid to delete her profile when she canceled her account.

Signed,
A woman who used AM (yes, really)

The local, posted DC area list is from cc transaction records, but the hackers have a lot more than that. They have login info, access to messaging and access to all accounts. That's how they know that AM kept their data after their clients paid to have it erased.

AM was a con website. There were few women on it and all the marketing was geared towards men. If you are a women and go on any site you will have tons of random guys sending you stuff. Craig's list ad by a woman will get hundreds of replies, a man's ad will be luck to get one reply.

There are those who have analyzed the profiles whether paid or unpaid. Truth is, if a man has spent money on the site it was a membership and to buy credits to send messages. The suckers were communicating, or attempting to, with but a small percentage of real women and a much larger percentage of fake.

So, if a man tells his wife, yes, I did create a profile, feel like a fool not only for the attempted betrayal but also because there wasn't a damn thing real about the site and no I didn't have an affair or even meet anyone, well, it would appear that about 90 to 95% of those men really didn't hook up.

My wife and I created an account under my e-mail address to look for someone else we thought might be on the site. Now we're caught up in this mess in a somewhat unique situation. I don't have the worry of my wife finding out, I have to worry about other people judging us, because of our curiosity. It was my idea, and now she's super pissed at me, but in a loving way if that makes sense. Not sure what to do. Thinking of outing ourselves in a united front to family and friends so there's no speculation.

P.S.
I think the site is BS. The women/bots reply once to try to get you to spend credits, and then stop responding after 2-3 msgs. Either that, or we don't have any game lol!!

You don't think these guys also had accounts on adult friend finder, OK cupid, etc? Once they were tired of not receiving messages from AM, you guys really don't think that they would go to a new site?

Are people really missing the point here? Check all the websites.

I wonder what percentage of women joined just for that purpose. Given the nature of the site, I bet it's a good amount.

Making the figures for how many women were on AM even more dismal

+1. This is what my husband did. He deleted all the AM messages before I could get to them but I was able to hack into all his other dating websites and see the messages back and forth, including a real woman sending him her cell number. AM is just the tip of an iceberg in most cases.
