I am a TWD fan and I have to agree with this. And it is not only the parents to the teens. The daughter's BF was bitten. Why did he not tell her that he was attacked by a human that was trying to eat him? He just looked into her eyes deeply and said "go". Also, who stabbed the Principal? Tobias? We did not see anyone else there and it looked like he was stabbed in the back or something so we know he was not killed by a walker. Remember she opened the school door with a key when she went in to get the narcotics for her son. I am a little surprised by the holes in the story so far, especially since the writers have to know that die hard TWD fans will be watching. I am continuing to watch though. How will the family reunite? they keep on saying they will go to the desert, but where? the desert is a large place. |
| I think the mom is a much better actress in House of Cards. |
Who is she in that show? |
I think TWD is definitely worth it. Start with the pilot and gives it two full additional episode, then decide. |
She's the White House press reporter who is sleeping with the author and who also is suspicious of Underwood and complains her editor always refuses to print her stories re the president. |
And the guy talking to his ex-wife about coming over not stressing that it is an emergency, not some parental visitation issues. |
| I don't like the show so far. I'm willing to give it one more episode but my patience is running out. I guess I was hoping for a bigger picture of the outbreak, more of how it started, how the containment failed, and how civilization eventually collapsed. I'm a big fan of the World War Z book and the entire premise misses the mark for me. The scene with the cops shooting the homeless guy and the angry protesters was a very good scene and definitely shows some promise to how they can tell the story. It doesn't help that the acting has been generally bad and the characters are unlikable for the most part. |
PP Here Exactly!! "Listen ex-wife. There is something really weird going on. I keep seeing people who should be dead waking up. I'm worried about you and DS. I'm coming over now because some weird sh!t is going on" |
NP- this is the same man who went to a crack house at night with no weapon and was shocked by the filth and blood on the floor. Zombie Apocalypse or not- that's not a wise course of action. Of course he was unnerved by a traffic jam on an LA freeway later that night. I'm willing to suspend disbelief considerably for a show with this kind of premise. But stupidity on this level is difficult to tolerate. |
From the interviews I've read with the show's creators, they are more concerned with how the whole thing impacts people and families, and there are no plans to explore the cause of the outbreak. |
| ^^ ok, thanks. In that case I shall just watch the story unfold. |

I like the mom. Mostly because I liked the actress in House of Cards.
And she did walk over to tell the neighbor - as her boyfriend was driving away to get his son. Is the power out for good? Cell phone service? I wonder if they have any way to get news/information now. |
| I'm still confused as to how the virus spreads. The neighbor guy was packing up and coughing ominously. There's an implication that people get sick with a virus and die. And the issue of the mutation of the virus to airborne bugs me too. |
That sounds to you like a rational thing to say because you know it's actually happening and he's not crazy. If you ex-husband or sister or neighbor called you or came to your door right now and started ranting about seeing zombies and how you needed to flee for your life, would you believe them, or would you think they were suffering some kind of psychotic break and needed medical help? The people in this show know how crazy they would sound to people who haven't seen/don't know about the zombies, so they have to find other ways of convincing people to come to safety with them. |
I thought it was odd to leave the food behind. All that trouble for Tobias to get nothing. And why wouldnt he go with Madison? That didnt make sense. Lonely scared teen would typically go with school counselor. I think the barber is just in a bad part of town and is used to riots, and doesn't want anyone in his store with his family during a riot. Would you want random strangers in your home? |
