+1 Yes, these are normal family interactions. Every family is different but it is normal for them to joke around like this. It sounds like your friend has a juvenile relationship with his sister which resulted in the half-insulting jokes. It would be extremely inappropriate for him to say that to anyone but his sister but it is normal. |

Sorry, I have to disagree with most pps. It sounds abusive to me. Joking about these insults may lighten the overall mood but there's a nastiness behind it.
