If your husband goes out all the time and doesn't wear his ring...

DH has been going out a lot with his recently divorced brother. He's been staying out all night and not coming home until the next morning/afternoon. He's been doing this for almost a year now, but the last few months he hasn't been wearing his ring. He even went as far as to try to "hide" his ring so I would think he had his ring on. I'm started to suspect he's really having an affair.

Whether he is having an affair or not, that would be completely unacceptable to me.

I completely agree. If you didn't want to wear a wedding ring, you shouldn't have gotten married.

OK, yeah, he's up to no good. But you knew that.

Sounds like he is having an affair. Or trying to. Sorry to say it but you probably know this already.

Just throwing this out there, the first thing I look at with a female is a ring. So, the ones saying they aren't wearing one in public is throwing people off, at least on the surface.

I get not wearing one around the house, because of various chores (as someone said, Jimmy Fallon is proof of that).

I would be concerned.

I don't usually wear my wedding ring and neither does DH. He really never has worn his, but he doesn't go out and not come home at night. That is what would have me concerned.

WTF is this a joke? I suspect not only is your DH having an affair, but he's got another wife and kid somewhere else, who may or may not know about you. Surely you know he's up to no good? Right?

In this situation you have a reason to be concerned. I would do a find my friends or other tracker on his phone and check on him some nights.

My husband and I have not worn our rings for years. We DIY around the house and he kept taking it off so it would not get damaged. I kept taking mine off every night and had a few scares thinking I lost it and eventually stopped wearing mine too. My husband is home almost every night and I know where he is at the few times he goes out. I would not be ok staying out all night like that.

Yup. This. Going out with divorced brother - fine. Staying out all night and not coming home - only fine if you agreed on it. Hiding his ring so you'll think he's wearing it? Nope nope nope. That's just screwed up. He can go out with his brother/be a wingman/whatever and still wear his ring.

+1. Women who are cool with their husbands not wearing a ring annoy me. I'm a single woman and this throws me off.

His ring got caught on something and nearly ripped his finger off.

DW is a physician and doesn't wear hers to work often. Depends on her agenda, definitely doesn't wear it in surgery.
