Conservative Ben Shapiro physically threatened by transgender journalist

Threatening physical violence is OK?

My eyes are finally opened! All trans gender people need to be rounded up and put in camps immediately. If one individual was an ass to a journalist, then of course it is perfectly logical to extrapolate that bad behavior across all trans people.

Thanks OP!

BTW, I blame Obama....

I question the claim that these people were killed for BEING transgender.
According to this site, the reason for killing is unknown in many cases.
Perhaps it was because they were transgender, but in many cases, the reason is unclear.
Because a transgender person is killed does not mean it is automatically due to their transgender status.
Some of these people lived in violent areas - most outside the US.

+ Probably two actors playing the parts like their ridiculous acted and edited Acorn video. Breitbart is for the double-digit IQ crowd only.

I'm guessing you don't work with special needs children or have a child with special needs.

Double-digit IQ isn't necessarily "special needs", Dear. The average IQ is 100 so 85 to 99 is well within the normal range of Conservatives/Republicans.

"Dear," I'm fully aware of all the ranges as I evaluate and work with special needs children almost every day. The comment was intended as an insult. Since I think it's important to not insult any groups, transgender or otherwise, I hope you'll be more mindful of others in the future.

Total nonsense. You do not work with special needs children! Not every special needs child has a low IQ our is even tested for IQs anymore! I AM a special needs teacher working with autistic children and their intelligence is way, way above average. My wife who works with Downs Syndrome children has never heard of one of her children being tested.

God, I loathe posts like yours. You are so ridiculous and such a liar.

Shut up and try to understand the context in which this comment was used. You would, indeed, need an IQ in the double digits to accept anything written on Brietbart.

Please, honey, cite the research of your claim.

NP here and 100 is the average IQ - that is what it means in the bell curve. Everyone pretty much knows that so I don't know what "research" you want the PP to cite.

PP makes a claim about the “IQ of conservatives.” Would love to see that research.

The total misunderstanding and misuse of the word "hypocrisy" by the right never ceases to amaze me.

Same with their misuse of "tolerance".

PP here. I didn't say every special needs child has a low IQ or is tested for IQ anymore. I agree with you that many children on the autism spectrum have average or above average cognitive functioning. In my opinion, whether you think it's alright to throw out insults or not, I don't think it's appropriate to try to insult people about their intelligence. FWIW, I've worked with special needs children for years; and your calling someone a liar on an anonymous forum is meaningless.

Hypocrisy is indeed ever present in the posts in this thread--and I have total understanding of the word.

This does not surprise me at all, and I am NOT a conservative.

Some (not all!!!!!!) in the trans community have been threatening and even assaulting women, especially lesbians, for years.

It has created a wide rift in the lesbian community between those supporting trans rights and those who are considered radical feminists.

For example, whether trans women, even ones who still have penises and have not started any kind of hormones treatment, should be allowed into women-only spaces.

Trans-rights feminists say yes, but many lesbians and "radical feminists" say no -- that it is just another example of men breeching women's spaces.

This article in the New Yorker gives a little bit of an idea. In general tho, this is off the radar for most people.

http://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2014/08/04/woman-2

The all-women's music festival in Michigan called MichFest is now ending after 40 years. The past few years have been very tough with trans activists setting up Camp Trans across from the festival to protest being excluded. Some have been engaged in violence and vandalism, such as spray painting "Real Womyn Have Cocks" on the side of the festival kitchen.

I know there are DCUM posters who will automatically defend whatever any trans person does, and accuse me of all kinds of bigotry, but there are probably a few curious minds out there who didn't know about all this.

No, it isn't. No one has yet condoled the words of the transgendered person on this thread hence "hypocrisy" is not in use here at all.

Everything has a context and most are revolted by Breitbart and the known idiot journalist. I doubt that anyone is going to lose their minds along with you when one person, historically degraded and mocked, gets angry and pushes back against a known bigot with words.

Unknot your panties, OP. There is no hypocrisy in the thread - simply "who cares"? Words are not actions and context is important.

That is interesting information but completely unrelated to the topic of this thread. In the case being discussed here, an obvious anti-trans person made rude and insulting comments directly to a transgender individual who responded with a warning of violence (note, not actual violence). Could you imagine if we had a thread here for every instance a LGTB person was threatened with violence by a straight person? Could you imagine if we had a thread for every case of actual violence? Maybe this story deserves attention because it is an example of man bites dog?
