Total nonsense.  You do not work with special needs children!  Not every special needs child has a low IQ our is even tested for IQs anymore!  I AM a special needs teacher working with autistic children and their intelligence is way, way above average.  My wife who works with Downs Syndrome children has never heard of one of her children being tested.
