Granite vs quartz in a traditional kitchen

I absolutely love granite. My in laws keep telling me about how "high maintenance" granite it, but I've never had one issue and we've had it for at least 20 years in different homes. They've never had granite though.

We chose granite over quartz 3 yrs ago, it is holding up great w/o any maintanence. Just look for a higher grade, C or D, these are more rare and beautiful.

Get it honed. All of the shiny granite is dated.

People have been saying granite is going out for 10 years. It's still extremely popular. I like quartz too, but for a traditional kitchen, I'd go with granite.
