Also OP are you the female Jewish one in the couple?
Go with Avi. Trust me. |
Would it matter which person in the couple is Jewish or Hindu for name purposes? I guess if the kid will take the father's last name and that will suggest one background, you may lean more towards the other for the first name? |
Love Mira- and I think Maya is lovely too. |
My college bf was Hindu and Jewish. His name was Avi. His daughters are Mona, Mira and Maya. I like those names.

Maybe she's pregnant with a second! |
For a boy Dev is pretty close to Dov |
Lina, Maya, Setira (not sure on spelling) |
I currently know preteen and teen kids named: Romy (Romi) -girl Raya (Riya) -girl Adi-girl and boy Nathan -boy Nili -girl Tal -girl Shahar -boy All nice names. |
Glad I'm not the only one having trouble finding names that are meaningful to both! I'm 14 weeks pregnant, we are having a boy ☺️ my husbands family is Punjabi Sikh/ Hindi and my family is Irish catholic/ Jewish. It's been tedious trying to find a name that represents both sides. Especially since we are hyphenating the last name. |
Amaya for a girl. Beautiful name that I never heard before. |
Maya or Maia |
So overdone, especially in this area. |
