Yes, with my IVF (my youngest) I just knew. Tested at 9 days after ovulation.
With my first, my dog ate my underwear before I even missed my period. I took a test, and it was the first positive in over 2 years of trying. |

I cried seeing some children dancing at a street festival because I wanted one so badly. I was watching a food show and a commercial about hamburgers and the word "unctuous" made me retch a little. I didn't take much note of these things at first.
A week or so later, I ordered Chinese and couldn't eat the meat. I just wanted vegetables and orange juice. The next afternoon someone was making coffee with a Keurig and it smelled absolutely vile. I got a pregnancy test from CVS, and I pretty much knew what the result was going to be. Was about 10 weeks. In retrospect, I really, really, really wanted to DTD the week I assume I got pregnant. I believe I actually begged. LOL |
| With my first I had intense menstral type cramps, like it was going to come any minute, but my period didn't show. With my 2nd I almost fainted after working out. |
Nope. Both times, I thought I was definitely NOT pregnant this time, whereas I had been "sure" I was pregnant many other months when I wasn't. This time, my feeling that I was pretty sure I wasn't pregnant did make me question whether maybe I was, though.

| I had spotting for five days before my period was due, with mild cramping like it would start but then it didn't. And I started in with the fatigue almost six days before I tested positive, (which was three days before my period was due – I have long cycles). I thought the exhaustion was due to an extremely busy schedule for an intense six days, but it was magnified by the early pregnancy. The morning I took the test, I had a morning-dream about taking one and it was positive. Lo and behold, it was. Now 12 weeks and counting! |
| Menstrual-like cramps between ovulation and date I should have gotten my period. A few days before I took the test I started having minor but noticeable diarrhea-type symptoms. I had a feeling this was it, and it was. |
|
My first: coffee (which I adore) repulsed me, everything smelled/tasted way too intense to be normal, I was absolutely exhausted every day around 2 pm and could barely stay awake at my desk.
Second: no idea til I took the test. Then noticed I felt sort of vaguely nauseated and off. |
| nope. no clue. even after BFP had no sense that somethign was different. now, at 27 weeks, i feel like i can understand how some people end up on i didn't know i was pregnant. |
| yes, teh second time due to discharge (sorry TMI) but it was the same discharge I had with the first. I had a miscarrage a few months earlier so it was fresh on my mind, had it with that baby too. Sorry I know that is gross! |
|
First time: weird, metallic taste in my mouth.
Second time: felt nauseous when a good friend announced her pregnancy. I thought it was just sympathy nausea, but guess not! |
| I could smell the neighbor across the street smoking a cigarette in his stoop from the inside of my house |
| Yes, but not until my 3rd, 4th and 5th. The first two I was oblivious until I looked back but I learned from them what to look for! Most obvious symptom: crying over nothing, or close to nothing! Also, having very weird dreams and being really hungry! |
|
With both pregnancies, everything smelled like fish.
With my second pregnancy, I wasn't even trying to get pregnant I was in the kitchen with DH and my step-daughter and I mentioned the lettuce smelled like fish and they both looked at each other and then at me. We'd been traveling so I went to my date book and realized I was late. |
| Yes. For the first I had a dream and the dogs were extra protective and attentive. For the second, I was so clumsy. |
|
Yes, I had very sore breasts. And some implantation bleeding as well.
But mostly it was the sore breasts. |
