When did that happen? You moved back one today?

Happened today, sometime mid-morning (I checked early and number was the same, checked around 10 and it had changed).

I never know which is the right terminology here, but our waitlist number is one better than it was (someone must have turned down a spot).

And -1 more today for CMI PK3 (that's one better on the WL)

only 34 total and I don't actually know of anyone leaving. Could be 1 or 2 who haven't made it public yet.

We've moved two spots better on the CMI K list. Still no where close to getting in, but it looks like it's moving.

It looks like Creative Minds PK4 has moved 9-10 spots at least. I think last year they got to lower teens for PK3?

Turned down a PK4 YY spot on Thursday. Under 10. We actually camped out last year and desperately wanted to get in, but now happy at another DCI feeder and so not changing.

Pp: interesting; what made you lottery for yy this time around?

I have the same question, what was the point of putting it on your list this year? Not that it really hurts anyone, because someone is going to be thrilled that you turned it down. But curious, why bother applying, since obviously you didn't only get super happy with your current DCI feeder in the last couple of weeks...?

Had been trying to get into YY for years (for older kid). Decided transition would be too much once we ironically finally got in. Like our current school, particularly for the quality of the teachers, both target language speaking and not. Believe that all options have value, the YY option just actually moved more out-of-the-money with time spent at our current school.

Has anyone actually spoken with CMI about how their PK3 waitlist is looking and whether they have any guesses about how far it will go? I guess I'm kind of surprised it's moved so much already. We started at #23 and I was assuming we wouldn't move, but we're 17 now and I'm starting to wonder. We're enrolled at ITS and consider ourselves extremely lucky, but I do wonder if CMI is going to become an option for us. (Oh and I know I could call CMI myself, and am happy to - just wanted to check here first for scuttlebutt before bothering them!) TIA.

It's moving a lot because they have an extra class this year (so 17 extra spaces!)

Yeah 17 extra spaces, but I guess I still assumed people ahead of us would want them! I guess people with good lottery #s are getting WL spots elsewhere. So glad it's at least all automated/streamlined this year. Good luck, everyone!

You've moved 6 spaces? Amazing.

Sadly on DCUM I can't even begin to figure out if you're being sarcastic, and if so, why. Oh well.

Sorry all as I am new to this process and board but what do you mean when you say "CMI has 17 extra spaces". Were these spaces not filled in Round 1 of the lottery? Does anyone know how many spaces CMI has for pre-K 3 in total?

If you know CMI's pre-K3 total what about MV, Lee, DCBilingual, and ITS?
