The Goldbergs - anyone watch it?

Malcolm in the Middle was just this amazing oasis of sitcom genius during a time when everyone was watch bullshit reality shows. It just got lost in all the garbage. Bryan Cranston as Hal! Jane Kaczmarek as mom (Lois) Cloris Leachman as grandma Ida?! that was comedy gold. The Middle is a pale shadow of it--but it's better than nothing.

I think all of these shows are best suited for kids 10+ to watch WITH their parents. It's great bonding time--you'll really laugh together--it's snarky yet wholesome at the same time. It is very relatable across cultures--unless you just have some bias against any of the groups in which case--stick to Duck Dynasty.

I'm twisted up inside, but nonetheless I feel the need to stay
I don't know the future, but the past keeps getting clearer every day

I know they weren't the best of times
I didn't pass the test, or know my lines
But it wouldn't change a thing
‘Cause all those days were mine

So I'll rewind

There’s a Polaroid picture in my mind
It’s me at 12 years old and I
Wanna tell that kid that he’s alright
These are the best years of his life

There’s an 8-bit game inside my head
Just one more hit and I’ll be dead
I’ll duck and jump and charge ahead
And I never lose, I just reset

I'm twisted up inside, but nonetheless I feel the need to stay
I don't know the future, but the past keeps getting clearer every day.

There’s an after school special in my heart
And I do my best to play my part
I learn my lesson at the start
But in the end I get torn apart

No matter how fast I go I find
A part of me gets left behind
The future calls and I decline
And turn and fight the winds of time

I'm twisted up inside, but nonetheless I feel the need to stay
I don't know the future, but the past keeps getting clearer every day

I'm twisted up inside, but nonetheless I feel the need to stay
I don't know the future, but the past keeps getting clearer every day

Why would you post the lyrics to their theme song? Odd.

Wow. So you don't like shows with ethnic people and you won't watch a show with gay characters. Whatever. You're missing some pretty good show--but you'll never admit it's because of your stupid prejudice. Those shows are entertaining. You could learn some positive and funny things about other cultures.

wow! now THAT was a really far-fetched and uncalled for response PP. Take your twisted thinking somewhere else.

Wednesday nights are our night as well. I would have found Beverly Goldberg super annoying before I had a kid. Now, sometimes I say to myself - I'm turning into her! Takes everything in my power not to call DS, My Delicious Boy! And sadly, I get weepy more times than I'd care to admit on both the Goldbergs and Modern Family.

Blackish makes me laugh out loud and I find myself rewinding at least once an episode. I love that the twins' names are Jack & Diane.

Sue Heck and Brick keep me coming back to The Middle.

The Middle is still good and Fresh off the Boat is a great premise and just needs funnier writers--I hope they give the show time to develop. The Goldbergs was super corny at first--but then it hit a stride. Blackish was hilarious from day one IMO.

I really relate to the relationship between Bow and her MIL on Blackish. I love it

I hate that show-really hated it. My husband loved it. He showed our boys and they all left the room. Lame.
