This.
Leave these people alone.

Why should I? These people pimp out their lives and children for profit. They give birth on the toilet on national TV. They invite 1000+ people to their televised weddings.

They have chosen to open themselves to criticism.

Wow. Why so angry?

Lemme guess ... you're not angry.

So you think they are entitled to privacy?

How did I miss this?

+1. I missed this too. Can someone fill us in?

The video is no longer on the Internet, but if you google Anna Duggar Toilet Birth you will get all the info you want. She had her second child while on the toilet, with the TP roll in the background.

My aunt had 6 c-sections and it didn't stop her from getting pregnant.

Honestly, it's a challenge even for those of us who aren't quiverful/Duggar-types, but just normal people who were hoping for a big family and wanting to avoid hormonal BC. I mean, I didn't want 20, but I did want more than two and my own personal beliefs aren't really compatible with the most common types of BC. It's a tough situation to be in. I want to be alive & well to raise the children I already have, I want to utilize the family planning methods that I can feel good about, and I want to have a normal marriage, but I can't put myself in a situation that's likely to result in me being sliced open over & over again. It's a really tough situation to be in. I haven't found any answers yet. It sounds like none of you on here really care about the delicate balance of being in that situation.

Well, it is the Entertainment and Pop Culture forum.

I'm surprised we have so many Duggar fans (or hate watcher's) on dcum.

It's human nature to be fascinated by train wrecks.

Come on over to freejinger site so you can snark without DCUM criticism!

And why should I "leave alone" a family who has a member that is a director at FRC, trying to pass more hate legislation around the country similar to the Indiana bill? It's disgusting, and want to snark on it, dammit. I am so tired of people thinking the Duggars are good people. They aren't, they are wolves in sheep's clothing.

All of them?

Isn't that stereotyping?

Who cares? They go on TV and say things like "other people do x" (implying their way is better) - they stereotype every non-QF person in this country practically. Listen to the talking heads.

btw, the Duggars have recommended this man's book in the past for disciplining a child: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Pearl

+1. I hate them, but I can't help watching the train wreck. I feel like I want to know what "the enemy" is up to. I call them happy idiots, but they're smart like foxes.

Having to always have a c/s does mean that you shouldn't continue to have kids one after another. 6 c-sections is really pushing it. They can't legally stop you, but your chances of damage or even death go up every time.

I had 2 because I have no other option-I'm not a VBAC candidate. If you want a large family, being able to VBAC is likely your only option to continue safely.

As for not believing in birth control...can't help you there.

I know, I know. Couldn't think of a better way to express that sentiment. I'm a little hopped up on pain meds right now - forgive me.

No, only when conservatives do it, silly.

I like them. We can't all be fawning all over Bruce Jenner's gender confusion or Lena Dunham's bitter sloppiness. There's room for everyone.

I like your point of view.
