Depends on the value of your time. An hour saved for me is worth about $400, so the $99 on Prime is a no-brainer, plus you can give a free membership to family members.
Do you want to spend more time with your kids, or more time driving to and from Target? We don't have Costco, and we visit Target 2-3x a year mainly to pick up paper goods (plates, etc) when planning a party. Otherwise, everything from Amazon. |
I agree with this completely. DH buys the most random shit b/c shipping was free. It's very easy to impulse buy when you have prime. |
LOL - so true |
Me too. |
| I never ever go to target anymore because of Amazon. I agree that I totally buy things on impulse on Amazon but I think I buy a lot more crap at target I don't need compared to impulse buys that I do need at Amazon |
This! Everything my husband sees on shark tank happens to be on prime! GREAT! |
Me too |
| What do you have on your subscribe and save? I'd like to add some more to mine and can't figure out what else would be good to buy this way. |
| Absolutely yes. Not as much as it did, but I would say we still order roughly 3-4 things from there a month. Christmas gifts alone probably saved me enough to pay for a year or two membership. Subscription wise we used it for diapers, wipes, and diaper cream. Saved 25% off the amazon prices, which was roughly $25 off in-store prices. Going to checkout Amazon Pantry to replace our costco membership. We'll see how that goes. |

Amazon Prime has been great for me. I have RA and on bad days, I just don't feel like shopping for anything. Amazon Prime to the rescue. I'm not sure I'm saving money, but I am saving wear and tear on my body.
Streaming video isn't bad either. |
| It's one of the things that makes it easier for us to not own a car, so I'm guessing it saves us about 5-6K per year. |
