NCRC Parents

Have I stumbled onto the college admissions board here? Aren't you talking about 3 and 4 yr old here?

Honestly, I think you are focusing way too much on the School Director. Try asking your child's teacher how enthusiastic they were for your child??? I know my child's teacher was incredibly enthusiastic about my child's application and recommendation and I would say that contributed to us getting into a big 3 school (which was our first choice). If you are disappointed, ask the teacher did they really write a strong rec for your child???

Look, if admissions were up as has been reported in some threads, even if teachers and directors were really enthusiastic, these young kids faced a greater pool of applicants. The feeder preschools are not necessarily guaranteed spots at the Big 3/4/5, etc. So the odds end up being longer this round than in some previous years. Perhaps the applicant pool will contract next year. I know that is not a consolation for folks who did not get into their first choice this round, but this whole process is largely beyond the applicant's family's control. There were over 100 applicants for K at Maret, GDS, etc. Probably 95% of those applicants had great scores, great playdates, and enthusiastic recs. A lot here is a roll of the dice - the art and science of admissions.

All this discussion on this thread, and I don't think any NCRC parent as stated one way or another how his or her DC did during the admission process or how other NCRC children did. We don't know what the NCRC director did or didn't do in support of those children applying to schools. Seems like there is nothing to discuss (on this thread anyway).
