Many women want to look a certain way, not for their husbands or themselves, but for other women - their peers who will judge them.
She probably doesn't care about your opinion, OP, even though she loves you and appreciates that you are trying to reassure her.

So if I were you I wouldn't worry too much about what to say or not. She's going to complain until she accepts herself for who she is and how she looks.

Not exactly. Saying the wrong thing will cause harm even if saying the right thing won't help.
