I don't understand? Nobody at Hoover is in compacted math. Hoover is a middle school. Compacted math is math 4/5 in fourth grade and math 5/6 in fifth grade, in elementary school.

Based on the number of 6th grade students taking IM vs taking Math 6 --- yes, compacted math is at ES -- but they will reflect in middle school once they move into

SO you have the statistics for all of the feeder schools?

I don't have exact number, but based on observation, it is roughly 50%. BTW, the feeder ES does show roughly 45-50% in advanced level math on MSA test. That is publicly available.

Advanced on the MSA is not the requirement for compacted math...if it were many more kids would be in compacted math. And your observation based on ?? the kids you know?? I am a bit skeptical that these couple of schools are so much higher than even the other W schools.

Advanced MSA math is Not the requirement but a good indicator. I don't mean "If and only If"

During the open house, parents were split into IM/Math6, roughly half parents were in IM and half were in Math6, that should be a good estimate.

I really don't see compacted math a big deal. Any normal learning kid can get into if he/she works hard, this is not like competition into Magnet/HGC.
