| I cringe when I see babies in bars |
Why? It's not legal anymore to smoke in bars, which is fabulous. So what's the problem? Are you worried about underage drinking? |

But the dad was wearing skinny jeans and had a beard. Hipster.

| Meeting friends at the bar saved our sanity the first few months of our son's life. In VA all bars are technically restaurants, so there's no underage issue. |
| Can we please stop with the "YMMV" |
LOL |
| No one has yet to explain why this is a problem. |
| Honestly, who takes a newborn anywhere at night during a snowstorm? |
This is why I am so excited to be moving out of here and to SF at the end of the summer. I may come find you! |
Not in DC. My child has been in almost every hip bar downtown, starting from about a week old. I didn't let anyone other than 2 or 3 relatives touch her though until she was six weeks old. Thd cold or snow wouldn't bother me as much as if it were very crowded, but I was very sensitive to germs in the early weeks. |
You brought your kid to a place that served food AND liquor. You cannot bring a minor inside ANY establishment that predominately sells liquor. It is illegal in every state. Don't believe me, bring your child to a pub and see what happens. You will be arrested for child abuse. Go ahead, bring your baby to a BAR. I doubt they let you in. |
That's wrong. Parents in Wisconsin frequently bring their children into establishments that predominately sell liquor. Sometimes, they give them "virgin" drinks. It is most certainly NOT illegal. |
