When did your child switch to morning showers (as opposed to nighttime)?

Showering at night makes much more sense, as does getting into bed with a clean body and clean feet. Unless it is summer and your AC is out, I don't see the benefit of a morning shower.

My youngest is all I have at home and he's been showering in the am since 4th grade. That's a quick wake up shower. Still takes an evening shower due to sports etc. That's the long one with actual soap and shampoo. Same as his brothers but I got spoiled because they would shower at school after sports and then just a quick one in the am at home.

DD's hair is curly and tends to be quite unmanageable unless styled fresh each morning starting when wet. She switched to morning showers as soon as she started refusing to wear her hair braided or in a ponytail. Definitely by middle school.

I still shower at night before bed, so not sure my kids will switch to mornings unless they want to. DS (9) always has to shower before bed, as he is a sweaty kid He has skipped only a handful of times, usually on a weekend night and then he will shower in the morning.

This is me. I have very curly but fine hair that I wet & condition every morning (unless I pull it back in a ponytail or put it up). So a morning shower makes sense and has since I was in middle school. If I work out in the afternoon/evening, I jump in the shower afterward, but don't get my hair wet.
My boys are 16 and 10; they both shower in the evening. My older son takes care of his own showering routine, LOL. My 10-year-old still needs to be shouted into the shower and then once he is in there he stays so long he needs to be shouted out as well. Good times.

My kids are small, but I remember taking night showers even in college. I still take night showers, it's too hectic in the mornings to add something else to my routine. Plus I have more time at night to blow dry my hair. I just brush and go in the morning.

I don't think I took regular morning showers until after college for my first real job. In high school and college, sleep was too important. In college I would try to take a shower before my morning class if I went partying the night before.
