When did your child switch to morning showers (as opposed to nighttime)?

My DS used to only shower at night. Now he's 12 and showers at night and again in the morning.

I never did, and only shower at night because I need to be clean before going to bed.

Everybody else in the house bathes or showers at night.

My 10 and 6 yo kids take showers at night.

My 6 yo showers by himself.

Me too.

My high schooler takes night showers. Since he plays sports, he kind of has to.

Always have, always will. My kids, two in college, do the same, though I think they might also take a brief shower in the morning to wake up.

2. Then switched back around 4.

15 & 17. Evening showers. Same with many. 15 has sports. But both 15 and 17 have to get up at 6 for bus at 630. Weekends are more random, rarely take an evening shower before crashing.

We all share one shower. My kids get the evening shift.

I think we will be on evening showers for a long time - it's the sports and shower routine for us.

My brother took 3 a day growing up in the summer. Morning, lunch (worked an outside job) and evening!

DD is 17 and only showers at night. She can't get up early enough to even think about taking a shower!

6 y/o asked to shower in morning. Was very good about it at first, but started to not get in right away, drag, delay, so he may have to switch back to night.

My kids all started morning showering at a very early age. The oldest was doing it by 3rd grade and the younger two by kindergarten. They all switched on their own. My older two have always been daily showerers with no prompting from me - except for about a one month period around 5th grade for my older one when he pretended to shower. My youngest, who is seven and has hated bathing her whole life, is on an every three day schedule. We agreed on this after she saw a dermatologist on the Today show that said every three days was the right amount for someone with dry skin. She does, however, shower without prompting every third day. If I suggested more often, I'm sure she'd protest.

Morning (age 14.) She hates the way her hair looks without a shower, so it just worked out that way.

Me too. I've never understood just taking one shower in the morning. I don't want to get into bed after a long day dirty and stinky.
