Happy about what, exactly? What has State done well recently?

To clarify, the bottom for midsize agencies. It's the only one I've ever worked for and it gives me hope that it's the worst. Because it's not absolutely terrible. Not good generally and f'ing ridiculous some off the time but not terrible.

I love working at the FDIC. Great benefits, work/life benefits, training and education....it really is a great place to work.

Is it hard to get hired at USTR?

+1
HUD feels more like a DC government agency than a federal Cabinet department.

GAO is not a federal agency.

Huh? Then how am I a federal employee??

Isn't GAO a legislative branch agency vs executive branch? I thought this was because Of the audits GAO conducts.

Can you tell me how the pension benefit at the FDIC is structured as I understand it's different than FERS? What's the employee contribution and what is the payout formula (# Years * X%/year * salary)?

It's just a tiny step above terrible. It's pretty damn awful.

NP. Yes it is...and honestly as an international trade analyst I would not want to work there. It is crazy competitive and most people are completely overworked. I work at Commerce in itA and there are a lot of interesting international trade jobs that offer a much better lifestyle.

Yup. And my friends who work for NASA love it. Awesome agency mission, and everyone's proud of it.

And it hasn't done anything of significance in over 35 years. But anyway...

How many robots have YOU put on Mars?

Bam!

Just as many as you have. Money could have been spent fighting poverty, relics.
