How to get away from a VERY shallow couple in the social circle that just got married and pregnant

Anonymous
1. Reconsider the character of your girlfriend

2. Tell her that she can socialize with them, but you will not (then see what happens)

3. Did your parents watch Dynasty or did you? (isn't that that 70s/80s?)

Why would you marry a girl with those kinds of friends????

Thought the same - you date that girl, you don't bring her home.

A guy would NEVER have written this. EVER.

No. Larla is timeless.

Refuse to hang out with Jane and her shallow friends. Honestly, it just sounds like silly girls in their 20s. Are you dating younger?

Women in their 30s aren't so shallow.

Because they are desperate and worn out.

OP, why are you agonizing over and criticizing every last thing? You come off as immature and uncharitable.

Focus your efforts on finding new friends, with this girlfriend or a new one.

apparently your girlfriend's friends suck. Find someone with better judgment.

My husband dislikes some of my friends and I dislike some of his - we just realize this and do not associate with whoever we do not like.

Large gatherings do become problematic and there are a few of them that I would love to weed out of the friend circle. I just try and ignore them as best possible.

What? You're a guy? There's just no way.

Faux. I recognize the writing style + OP usually submits these on a Friday.
