How do you relate to your friends/relatives who hold polar opposite political views?

I don't see my conservative relatives much. I got tired of the proselytizing. Their whole lives are devoted to the fundamentalist Christian belief system. I love them, but it is hard to be around people whose purpose in life is to prevent people like me from going to hell.
