Colonial Village/Shepherd Park to Deal Commute

CV homes tend to be a little bigger, have bigger lots, and a bit quieter with less thru traffic given its location next to Rock Creek Park, but both have similar demographics (although skews a bit older in CV). When I talk to residents about "neighborhood" events, it's pretty much understood that we're talking about Shepherd Park, Colonial Village, and North Portal Estates as one entity. They're all served by the same listserv, community organizations, etc. Each area is more like a subdivision of the larger neighborhood. So no matter what side of 16th the PP ends up on, it's a great area!

My daughter takes the D31 down 16th to/from Deal, and do many of her friends and neighbors. FWIW, the D34 does a second run after school (at 4:30), so Shepherd Park kids take that bus to 14th & Military, then transfer to an S2/S4 heading north on 16th.

How long is your daughter's bus ride to school? From the schedule it looks like the D31 takes 54 minutes from start at Eastern/16th to Deal. Yikes!
