38 to 40 hours a week in the office, and another 5 to 10 at home when kids are in bed. I am hoping to cut down on the evening work in 2015 so I have more time to exercise & get back in shape. But mid to low level performers don't make it long in my office, so I may need to look for a new job.
About 35, over four days/week. I'm an attorney too. I do transactional commercial work - mostly from home.
RN, I work clinic, so about 40 hours a week, but I'm home every night, every weekend and every holiday!
40hrs/week. Vanilla 9-5 office gig. Pretty sure I've mommy tracked myself for the past couple years since my husband works the crazy hours and we have 2 toddlers. Job satisfaction is about at 75% since I do like the people I work with but I'm just not inspired to do more like I was back in my 20s.
37.5 hours, three days in the office and two days at home.
50 hours a week, investment management. Travel sometimes.
Psychologist...about 35 hours a week
lawyers billing 2800 a year. i'm a consultant and the general expectation (if you want a BS raise) is to bill just under 2300 per year. we don't make nearly the $$ lawyers make. thanks for putting things in perspective.

I do about 50-60 a week. But not billable hours per se -- I am a researcher so that counts thinking time, etc.
I also have a 5 minute commute, which helps. You should do what works for oyu. I try to spend my work hours wisely -- ie maximizing my time spend doing what is important. But my success is measured by my results not my hours, so that may be easier for me than for others. |
Probably 45-50 hours a week with two work at home days. Often end up in the office on at least one of those. 2 to 3 months of travel a year. Also do a side thing on a foundation board which adds about 5 hours a week. Commute is easy so I get a lot of time with the kids and I am a Director so i can dictate when I leave for a school thing or sports. Husband works at home and is slow rolling towards retirement. We have an au pair and my mom is close so there is a lot of help. Thinking this might need to change in the next year or so.
I'm an engineer for an energy company and I work about 60 hours a week.
Nobody bills 2800 hours without committing fraud.
No more than 40 at least 50 weeks out of the year. Govt attorney with a lot of experience.
