Ditto for me, in all respects. |
60 plus tip
$145 collectively for haircut, blowdry and single process color.
$55+tip at Bang Salon. I just see whoever, but have had some bad cuts (and good cuts).
Long straight hair here. I used to go to Hair Cuttery or similar, just a basic straight cut. The few times I tried anything radical like long layers, it was a disaster. Finally switched to a nicer place. It's $70 + tip, but SO worth it. I love my cut! Easier to dry and style, holds a style all day, and grows out nicely so I only have to cut 2-3 times per year (even the bangs).
225.

$95, no tip because he's the owner. $90 color at same time, $20 tip to colorist. Every 6-8 weeks.

$45 plus tip($10.00)
$35 for Linh at Bubbles in Fairfax Corner. It's a hike but worth it she gave me the best curly haircut I've had in 3 years for 1/3 of what I used to spend.
Probably $350 with color, cut, conditioning treatment. Expensive but she NEVER gets it wrong
$80 plus tip - usually about twice a year. The place gives free trims between cuts - Trim Salon in Adams Morgan.
$9.99 +$2 tip at fantastic Sams.
75 plus tip. I go twice a year. I made the mistake of going to hair cuttery two months ago and got what I paid for. Will be going back to my regular stylist.
I used to pay A LOT in Georgetown. Now that I'm paying private school tuition, I hit the barbers in Bethesda for $25.

Nothing. I cut my long hair myself. I comb it back carefully in a ponytail, pull the ponytail forward and bend down a little, and cut off the tip with my hair-only scissors. When I let down, it then forms a soft U-shape in my back. Voila, free hair-cut. |
