How much do you pay for haircut?

$100 +tip in downtown DC.

I go about every 8 weeks. No color. Yet. I'm 47 and the gray is layering in nicely around my ears. Once I decide to color, I figure I can sell one of the kids to pay for it.

About $20 plus tip (Hair Cuttery). I also have straight hair that is cut in a long bob. If my hair was more difficult to cut I would spend up to $100.

I have spent as much as $60 in the past and always leave annoyed because it doesn't look any different from the $20 cut.

$75 plus tip about 3x/yr.
Color 3-4x/yr for $75 plus tip.
Have gotten keratin straightening treatments occasionally in the past, too...that is expensive...$250 plus tip.

Me too! I wonder if we go to the same place.

$50 + $12 tip at Bubbles. I go about every 10-12 weeks. Coloring at home for now.

I only get trims as I like to maintain my hair to keep split ends at bay.

I notice at places that charge more for hair cuts, the stylists tend to want to cut off more hair, probably due to the fact that they feel bad charging me so much money for only chopping off 1' of my hair.

So I go to Supercuts and pay no more than say $25 for a trim every 2-3 months or so.

I go to hair cutters as well for my long bob. I once went in for a consult at a fancy salon. I flat out asked the stylist what she could do differently to my bob that would make it 4x the price. I admired that she said it would be the same haircut as I get at hair cuttery. I said thank you and went on my way.

My hair is wavy and looks really stupid if people don't do the layers correctly. I've tried going to super cuts/great clips/whatever and they do a crappy job. I don't need to go to a super high end salon, but 40-50 dollars plus tip is pretty typical. My DH thinks this sounds like a lot, but I get my hair cut maybe 2 times a year and he gets it done every couple months.

I have impossible to control hair. The $100 I pay is completely worth it.
