This house is a time capsule

I totally dig the brand new fridge in the kitchen.
And I loved that it was in "Kemp Mill" - so fitting. ( made me thing of Kemp Mill Records from back in the 70s/80s )

I love it too. Perfect grandparent feel. But wow, I'm in SSand am floored by that asking price. We are inside the beltway, great elementary, newly renovated and under 600k.

Yeah, we're looking in this general area and just laugh and laugh at the prices. Not sure what people are thinking. It's ok, but the schools aren't good and the amenities aren't looking so great either. This is a rather large house though, and in mint condition

Do you have half an acre?

Amazing. I hope the owners have a lot of great memories. This is making me so nostalgic.

Yep. My parents still have and use all that Ethan Allan bedroom furniture (dressers, corner pieces). The chairs too. That patio set is currently on my own deck. I desperately want a new one but that particular set was very upscale for its time (1973) and is in great condition so I can never justify upgrading.

It makes me happy.

Ha! It would be great if the furnishings and décor conveyed. I do think the kitchen could be a little more kitchy.

I bet that house is meticulously maintained. Probably not a single thing in need of repair.

I kind of like it. Not super familiar with the area though.

I love everything but the boring kitchen, which is surprising because I hate 70s stuff in general and don't remember a thing about the 70s. There's something comforting yet eerie about this house that appeals to me--it's creepy, but in a benign sort of way. I want to wander around in it for a few hours.
