Economically, a little depressed. Not a lot of job opportunities and the job market is unstable |
Nice town, but it gets old after 2 days. Overrated, in my view. |
Went there for undergrad. If I could have figure out a way to stay (without driving a cab for a living) I would have in a heartbeat.

snow, snow, snow, snow, snow, snow, snow, snow, snow and snow |
Eh, there are much worse places for snow. Madison only gets about 50 inches a year and they know how to handle it so the whole town doesn't shut down. A big snow in Wisconsin is nothing like a big snow in DC. |
Not true. Lots of tech startups, education, healthcare, government, biotechnology. Epic Software has been growing for one example. A lot of development in Madison. |
Some, not a lot Salaries are low. A red neck kind of backward place. Not a lot of diversity. Very republican |
I guess Devil's Head isn't a ski resort? Not huge but it's downhill skiing. |
Seriously? Madison is a Democratic stronghold in what is traditionally (though that's shifted a bit in recent years) blue state. It's not called "The People's Republic of Madison" for nothing... |
Madison has a great economy and new start ups. A friend of mine just spent 3 months there working for a software company. The big offices are Copenhagen, San Francisco, and Madison. |
We're talking Madison. Not fucking Rio (WI and pronounced rye-Oh) |
You obviously have not been to Madison recently. |
...says the person who's never set foot in Madison, lol. I'll never understand why some people try to answer questions about places they've obviously never been. |
