| Trying to understand what the debate is about - the house is under contract so I guess the price wasn't that far off. of course we won't know until it closes but I'm betting it went for somewhere close to the listing price. |
I'm sure it went for over ask since it went under contract so quickly. |
THIS! |
| It is pristine and very tastefully done. The finishes are all high quality. While it probably isn't a great investment, I can see why it went under contract so fast. Lots of people have the money to pay a premium to get something that is already done for them. |
+1. And no counter space by the stove, at all. They could've purchased a DCS or BlueStar range, at the very least. |
They really aren't high end. It looks good if you don't look carefully. |
|
It is in the same family as this - and it got $1.3!!!

1) you don't know whatthe contract price is so it could have sold for less. You won't know till the closing happens 2) all the bathrooms and the kitchen are renovated which is a big deal. People like move inready houses 3) it has a nice sized backyard for the city 4) it has 3.5 bathrooms another a huge plus. 5) the asking price was a little high but not of the realm for the neighborhood and the quality of the house inside and out. 6) i do think it was staged (and i liked what they did 7) it has a nice finished basement |
And that one is sooo much nicer! |
Nah, the average AU Park house looks like this and costs 800K or less: http://www.redfin.com/DC/Washington/4924-Albemarle-St-NW-20016/home/9945714 This would be a teardown shitshack in McLean. |
Oooh, snap! |
That should be a teardown anywhere. The lot probably can't support a new build though (looks jacked as fuck). Mclean has its fair share of shitshacks as well though. |
The "average" house in AU Park is not 2 bedroom 1 bath. They are small, yes, but not that small. |
It was intended as troll bait im sure. |
Yep. It's the same troll from the Arlington thread in this forum. |
