Birth Order - if you are the youngest in your family, please chime in

Im the youngest of three and while we all have our issues with our parents they don't baby me. But I have a very strong personaility. probably 8 years ago my mom did try to lecture me on how buying a condo on my own was too big a responsibiltiy etc (like I was a teenager) and I shut it and her down very quickly. It made for a tense holiday but she never said another word about it. OP this really isn;t about your MIL, its that your husband is letting this happen. People treat how you let them treat you.
