If Israel has an absolute right to defend itself, why don't Palestinians have the same right?

That land has been Jews' for thousands of years, before there had ever been a "Muslim", and well before the made-up term "Palestinian".

Guaranteed that if Israel was a non-Jewish country, you'd have no problem with their right to self-defense.

Well guess you agree that the Bible is made up. The word Palestine appears multiple times in the old testament.

Seems they have to defend themselves within Israel, too. There is a surge in anti-Arab violence. The most well-known of course is the recent murder of a teen Arab who was burned alive.

The Israelis are the invaders. The US should train, armed and provide combat support for the Palestinians. Once the Palestinians can hit Israel and take down its military, there will be peace.

Absolutely not. The way to achieve peace is not to further arm the sides and foment more violence. All that begets is more violence and heartache.

Right-minded, moral people in Israel need to take back the reins of government from extremist elements in a democratic way and begin to heal the rift between the Israeli and Palestinian people. They should not allow extremist elements to control policy in Israel again. Government reforms should be instituted in prder to ensure this.

Absolutely. I completely agree.

Strongly disagree, mutual assured destruction is the only thing that will work. Israel will continue to bully and kill its weaker neighbors. The only thing they understand is force.

By that argument we should all go back to Africa! In particular, most of us need to leave the Americas.

In reality, both Jews and Arabs lived in Palestine before World War I and much of the time they lived together relatively peacefully. It could be done again, but it's not simple.

The Palestinians have a right of self defense. If they were armed to the point of being a military threat to Israel. Israel would make peace with them. The Israelis only understand force.

Palestine goes back to Ancient Greece. Sorry if our educational system failed you.
