If Israel has an absolute right to defend itself, why don't Palestinians have the same right?

What is Palestine? I looked on a world map and can't find it.

You must not have looked at the right map:

Without an effective defense strategy, they should not have started this conflict by shooting missiles at Israel.

Yup. Add to this that the Palestinians are losing. Sorry if that pisses people off.

Okay, I found Palestine on some pre 1945 maps. I guess it went the way of the Soviet Union. Blighted places on the map.

They allocate vast sums of money to offense. It takes a lot of dough to bulldoze an area, secure it, and build a settlement on it.

Looks to me that all the money that was intended to “build” settlements (concrete and such) went to tunnels instead in order to attack Israel.

Seems they have to defend themselves within Israel, too. There is a surge in anti-Arab violence. The most well-known of course is the recent murder of a teen Arab who was burned alive.

Look at the conditions they live in, the uncertainty and the blockade. If I wasliving there I would also build a tunnel

The Israelis are the invaders. The US should train, armed and provide combat support for the Palestinians. Once the Palestinians can hit Israel and take down its military, there will be peace.

Absolutely not. The way to achieve peace is not to further arm the sides and foment more violence. All that begets is more violence and heartache.

Right-minded, moral people in Israel need to take back the reins of government from extremist elements in a democratic way and begin to heal the rift between the Israeli and Palestinian people. They should not allow extremist elements to control policy in Israel again. Government reforms should be instituted in prder to ensure this.

Absolutely. I completely agree.

Because only Jews have this right dating from WWII. It has been almost 70 years since end of that war and it is time for US to stop giving Israel carte Blanche to kill, murder, and steal home land of Muslims.

That land has been Jews' for thousands of years, before there had ever been a "Muslim", and well before the made-up term "Palestinian".

Guaranteed that if Israel was a non-Jewish country, you'd have no problem with their right to self-defense.

Guaranteed that if a non-Jewish country was killing 2,000, mostly civilians including over 400 children and wounding over 9,000 I would be calling them out for the murderers that they are.
